We have grouped our Schaeffler products into product families, according to their specific relation to motion. Those families are: Guide Motion, Transmit Motion, Control Motion, Generate Motion, Power Motion, Drive Motion, Energize Motion and Sustain Motion.
Guide Motion
Bearings and linear guides move components in a targeted manner. They ensure that the force required is kept as low as possible and minimize mechanical friction and heat generation - in cars, airplanes, wind turbines or production machines.
Transmit Motion
Gearboxes are the link between the motor and the application; they transmit mechanical energy and convert torque and speed, for example. They are used for a wide range of applications - in cars and commercial vehicles, but also in the field of industrial automation and medical technology.
Control Motion
Electronic control units and innovative sensors control, regulate and measure the performance and efficiency of various motion control systems – in cars, trucks, motorcycles, and many other applications.
Generate Motion
Actuators convert a signal into mechanical movement, force, pressure or torque and are essential for functionality, safety and efficiency – used in cars, trucks, agriculture, medical technology or production plants.
Power Motion
Power electronics conduct the energy from the battery to the electric motor, converting direct current into alternating current. This component can be found in both electrically powered cars and commercial vehicles.
Drive Motion
E-drives convert electrical power into mechanical power. The electric motor drives the wheels. The technology is used in electrically powered cars, people movers and commercial vehicles, for example.
Energize Motion
Systems for generating, converting and storing clean energy as the backbone of a sustainable future – with hydrogen and electricity as the main energy carriers for mobile and stationary applications.
Sustain Motion
Digital services, intelligent condition monitoring systems and repair and maintenance solutions extend the life cycle of products. The areas of application are diverse and extend across all industries.
